For sale here is a wonderful example of an early Charlie Jenkins Model GA80 — 8′ 2/2 6wt bamboo rod. The rod remains in excellent+ original condition. All sections are full lengthand straight.

Chestnut wraps and yellow tipping. Yellow and burgundy tipping at the winding check, ferrules, and tip-tops. The script remainsclean and bold in Charlie’s hand. It reads, “GA80-6″ along with his signature. Ever so slightly swelled butt. Large Garrison-style hook keeper. Cigar grip 6” in length with moderate soiling though it remains quite smooth. Handsome aluminum down-locking reel seat over a walnut spacer. Swiss-style ferrules size 13/64 with a perfect fit. The rod weighs 4.25. The action is a terrific medium-fast.
