For sale here is a very nice bamboo rod built by Chester Rods (Brian Kleinchester). It’s a 7’6 2/2 Browntone model built for a 5 wt line. The rod is from Brian’s”Jackson Series” –“At home on small to medium tail water fisheries”, although it’s certainly not limited to tailwaters! Brian Kleinchester,a long-time fisherman and resident of Virginia, apprenticed under bamboorodmaker Rick Robbins.Brian’s rods are all hand-planed and include his own proprietary tapers. Quite impressively, he also makeshis own nickel silver ferrules and reel seat hardware. Serial number 313, made in 2013.Weighs 4 1/8 oz.Cigar grip, down locking slide band reel seat with Maple burl wood spacer.Olive wraps with red tipping. Original labeled tube and tan rod bag.
