For sale here is a Sage SP 389 Graphite IV 8’9″ – 3 weight 5piece fly rod. The rod includes two tipsections, a feature rarely seen with graphite rods. Excellent condition. All sections fit together tightly as they should. Deep green blank. Reverse half wells grip is 6 3/8″ in length and moderately soiled. Nickel silver uplocking reel seat with a fine walnut spacer; the seat could use a good polishing. The rod has a fast action with fine tips capable of the utmost finesse and delicacy. The butt provides a good deal of backbone for a 3wt. The Sage SP line is one of the most highly regarded rods ever put out by Sage. Includes original bag and tube.
