This is one of the finest pieces of craftsmanship I have ever seen, a genuine work of rodmaking art. Tiny pressed nodes. Clear guide wraps with one of Tom’s signatures, a single turn of black as an edge. Bronze high-arch guides and small hoop tip-tops. Dark brown at the ferrules. Oxidized swiss ferrules. A small swell leads to the grip. The grip is extra long at 6″ (12 corks) and shaped to a medium cigar. Light colored curly maple seat. Nickel silver cap and ring are oxidized and stamped “T. Moran, maker” in a cartouche. The varnish is exceptional. Original bag and leather tube. Just a gorgeous rod.
