For sale here is a beautiful Tom Morgan “Streamer Special” 8’3″ #6 finished by the skillfulhands of Bob Summers – quite a combination! Built in January of 2012. The rod is in excellent++ condition. Classic sanded maroon fiberglass blank reminiscent of classic glass rods from the 60’s and 70’s. The wraps are a translucent ruby color. Bright guides. Script is in gold. Garrison style hook-keeper. Full-wells grip with light soiling and a rim of red around the nose caused by the maroon bag rubbing on the grip. Very handsome bright aluminum down-locking reel seat with a nickel silver butt cap and a mortised burled walnut spacer. The reel seat adds a detailed, individualizedcomponent to an understated rod for a balanced look. The spigot ferrules fit is perfect. There is a 1/2″ gap between the sections to allow for wear over time. A fine brass collar was placed around the female ferrule for added strength.The rod weighs 37/8 oz.The action is a superb medium-fast, smooth and precise. An excellent, versatile trout rod, don’t let the 6wt “Streamer Special” designation fool you into thinking that’s all it can do. Included is the original bag and and maroon tube with black aluminum fittings and “Tom Morgan Rodsmiths” etching on the cap.
