Serial #291473. Rich browntone cane with chestnut brown wraps and black tipping. Gold and burgundy with the black at the male ferrules and winding check. Oxidizedguides and ferrules. Lovely swelled butt. Cigar grip in superb condition. Blued wedding band style cap and ring reel seat with fine knurled edges over a burl wood spacer. Characteristic “W.E. Carpenter Maker” stamp on the butt cap. Ferrules size 13/64 and 9/64 and the fit is perfect. Rod weighs 35/8oz. Authoritative medium-fast action. Original bag and tube with brass fitting and label as well as a green canvas rod bag. Walt also wrote on the tube label, “1st rod shipped from new shop 2010”.
