For sale here is an original William Mills & Son “Fairy” Raised Pillar / Hard Rubber Fly Reel. Specifically made foruse with the Leonard Baby Catskill fly rods, this 2 1/4″ diameter (pillar to pillar) reel features an aluminum spool and nickel silver fittings. The tiny crank handle has a hard rubber grasp and the foot is full length and straight. The reel overall is in excellent plus condition, inside and outside. The reel was stored in one place for a very long time and thus the hard rubber is darker on the headplate where the handle rested for so long (see last photo). Stamped “William Mills & Son N.Y.” on headplate.
